Wale Salami

Wale Salami is an accomplished Nigerian-American angel investor, venture capitalist, U.S. Army veteran, and cloud computing professional, with a diverse background spanning over a decade across military, nonprofit, and private-sector roles. He is a recent graduate of the Stanford Ignite program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he further developed his expertise in business leadership and innovation.

Wale is the visionary Founder and Executive Director of the Midlothian Angel Network (Midlo Angels), one of North America’s fastest-growing angel networks. Under his leadership, Midlothian Angel Network has achieved remarkable growth, managing approximately $1.5 million in assets under management (AUM) and building a portfolio of 35 companies with a combined valuation of over $150 billion.

Through this role, Wale is actively driving early-stage investments, connecting promising entrepreneurs with critical capital and resources. A veteran of the United States Army, Wale served with distinction as a Maintenance Engineer in the Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Hood, Texas, and completed a tour in the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

In addition to his leadership at Midlo Angels, Wale serves on the boards of Regxta Credit and MushinToTheWorld Foundation, and as an advisory board member for Grant Masters. He represents the United States as one of 30 Senators at the World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion.
